 ​Designing Game-based Learning and Gamification-centered Training and Instruction


In this workshop, participants will explore the fundamentals of game-based learning and gamification and how they can be used to enhance instruction. Participants will explore a wide varieties of games and technologies to develop games, as well as strategies to evaluate them. 

Speaker Bio

Tamara Kravitz is the Senior Training Director at Cybervance Inc., since November 2017.  She is responsible for the development and roll-out of online courses, webinars / instructor-led training, infographics and more.  Tamara is an expert in gamification, learning strategies, adult learning principles, and Learning Manager System (LMS).  
Previously, Tamara has worked at Johns Hopkins International Medicine as Training and Educational Subject Matter Expert for their 6 hospitals, health insurance company, and School of Medicine.  Prior to healthcare, she was a sales engineer and technical training manager at Ciena, a large telecommunications technology corporation.
Tamara has more than 15 years of Instructional Design and Learning Management. Tamara holds a Masters of Instructional Technology from Towson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Visual Arts from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).   She has traveled around the world conducting training and speaking engagements at various learning industry wide events.
