Jason Bates, Training & Simulations Manager, University of Maryland Medical Center
Jason Bates has over 13 years of experience developing simulation based education in medicine. He currently serves as Training and Simulation Manager at The University of Maryland Medical Center leading the development of medical simulation programs within the Shock Trauma Center. He has worked as a project manager, program manager, business development manager and SME for many different education technology initiatives and has an extensive background in the design, development and implementation of simulation based training in medical education. His current interest is in integrating augmented and virtual reality into medical simulation training programs and is also faculty at the University of Maryland Blended Reality Center. He has co-authored a text book on instructional design in medical education and is an annual presenter at the international meeting on simulation in healthcare conference.
